Skip Bin Sizes

2m³ Skip

Common Uses

  • Small amounts of household/garden rubbish removal
  • Small amounts of construction/renovation rubbish removal
  • Small amounts of green waste removal
  • Small loads of concrete waste removal

Things to Remember

  • You cannot overfill the bin. Your waste must be level with the top of the bin at its highest point which is 0.90m or 90cm. This skip bin does not have walk in door access. All waste must be placed over the sides of the bin.
  • A 2m³ bin is not 2m long, 2m high or even 2m wide. Cubic metres are used to measure volume. A 2m³ skip is a good size for small amounts of rubbish removal. If you’re not 100% sure this is what you need, then call our team so we can assist you with choosing the right skip bin size.
  • The Dimensions of the 2m³ skip are: 1.91m (L) x 1.60m (W) x 0.90m (H)

Benefits

The 2m³ skip hire is our smallest skip bin. It is a great size skip for getting rid of small-sized amounts of rubbish. This skip is longer than it is tall. So, keep this in mind as you may need to break down rubbish to keep the height low enough for the skip if the rubbish can’t be laid down horizontally. We cannot take any skip that have been filled past the height for safety reasons.

Common Scenarios

This is a great option if you have small amounts of rubbish to get rid of that also has a bit of weight to it. You may be doing cleaning of your home and/or garage and need to do away with small household items, furniture, and whitegoods/appliances. You might be doing a gardening project for the weekend and need to get rid of old plants and weeds as well as and other green waste.

3m³ Walk-in Skip

Common Uses

  • Small-to-medium amounts of household rubbish removal
  • Small-to-medium amounts of green waste removal
  • Small loads of concrete waste removal

Things to Remember

  • You cannot overfill the skip. Your waste must be level with the top of the walk-in skip at its highest point which is 97cm.
  • Heavy rubbish will be a lot easier to walk into the skip for loading and stacking.
  • Measure out the area you want to place the bin as you may need a council permit for placing the bin on the council strip or road if it can’t fit in your driveway.
  • A 3m³ walk-in skip is not 3m long, 3m high or even 3m wide. Cubic metres are used to measure volume. A 3m³ walk-in skip is a good size for small-to-medium amounts of rubbish removal. If you’re not 100% sure this is what you need, then call our team so we can assist you with choosing the right skip bin size.
  • The Dimensions of the 3m³ Walk-in Skips are: 2.51m (L) x 1.60m (W) x 0.97m (H)

Benefits

The 3m³ walk-in skip hire is our smallest option for a walk-in skip. It is a great size skip for getting rid of small-to-medium-sized amounts of rubbish. This walk-in skip is longer than it is tall. So, keep this in mind as you may need to break down rubbish to keep the height low enough for the walk-in skip if the rubbish can’t be laid down horizontally. We cannot take any walk-in skips that have been filled past the height for safety reasons. It’s a lot easier to walk your rubbish into the skip rather than throwing it over the sides. This also helps you fit more rubbish into the walk-in skip as you can easily organise the rubbish as you fill the bin to maximise your use of the space.

Common Scenarios

This is a great option if you have small-to-medium amounts of rubbish to get rid of that also has a bit of weight to it. You might be doing a gardening project for the weekend, filling a wheelbarrow up with old plants and weeds. Simply walk the wheelbarrow into the skip, unload, and repeat. When getting rid of old rubbish with a skip, a lot of people collect the rubbish next to the skip and then throw it all in over the side. This is twice as much work as a walk-in skip where you can just transfer your rubbish straight into the bin as you go.
